My Experience and all about Fairy Rosebud

Fairy Rosebud is a real princess fairy that was turned into a human fairy by an evil witch but on the night of the fullest moon each month she turns back into a tiny fairy and goes back to Fairyland, Fairydale for a magical night... it's a enchanting story... I can't wait to tell it to you!

Fairy Rosebud is a keen supporter of childrens charities and is very involved with the charity Koru Care. Koru Care gives wonderful experiences to children who have major health issues. Fairy Rosebud is also about giving children magical experiences. One of the wonderful things Koru Care achieves is giving parents, siblings and caregivers respite with the pleasure of knowing their much loved child is having an incredibly amazing time. Fairy Rosebud also hopes you will support a kids charity too and recommends the Child Poverty Action Group, NZ.

I have studied Early Childhood Education, Dance, Theatre Arts, Magic, Performance Art and Public Speaking, Teaching, Life Coaching, Fine Arts(Elam) and have also achieved MLMB Certification.

I love kids and I am also graceful, patient and very very lucky because I have the best job in the world; what could be better that making kids happy and keeping the magic alive? I do plan parties but it is very important, when you are working with child audiences, to be fun, spontaneous, and adaptable.

I have created face paint for magazines and advertisements (e.g. NZ Woman's Weekly and McDonalds Parties Ad Campaign).

I started fairy storytelling and creating enchanting entertainment for little girls birthday parties in 2000 and so I have an extensive history of all types of event, from very small to enormous; I have been storytelling to school groups since 2005 and have a special program that includes looking at ways we can enhance our listening and enjoyment.

Fairy Rosebud loves Butterflies.

As well as Magic, Christmas and Storytelling Shows, Fairy Rosebud has developed educational shows for pre-schools, Kindergartens and Year one students. These are changed to be age appropriate for each group of children and are very engaging.

BUTTERFLY MAGIC - designed with inspiration from the Science Strand - making sense of the natural world. The children experience puppets, songs, nursery rhymes and magic designed to teach children about the life-cycle and other interesting facts about butterflies. Resources, including AOs and SLOs are provided to teachers. Fairy Rosebud also provides creative suggestions for projects using her visit and butterflies as stimulus for the visual arts. The experience also provides mathematics and language learning opportunities. The show includes engaging segments relating to the Ministry of Educations guidelines for environmental education.

A physics experiment demonstrating flying and gravity and other learning extension opportunities are available with both shows.

FAIRY HOUSES - designed with inspiration from Te Whariki and the social science curriculum strand. Achievement Objectives and Specific Learning Outcomes relate to introducing ideas about place, environment and resources. The visit also provides learning opportunities that largely belong to the Te Whariki strands belonging and exploration. Fairy Rosebuds supporting material gives creative suggestions for projects using her visit and the creatures found in fairy houses as stimulus for the visual arts. Children also learn how and why to care for natural creatures. The experience also provides gathering and construction learning opportunities. The show includes engaging segments relating to the Ministry of Educations guidelines for environmental education.
